I want to have a sisterhood devoid of race, colour, age, tribe, religion, political affiliation and status
I want to have a sisterhood that will inspire and encourage me to dream bigger dreams.
I wanna have a sisterhood that will love me beyond my flaws and will not be intimidated by talent or success.
I wanna have a sister that I can tell my struggles to without shame or fear of been judged while knowing my secrets is safe.
I wanna have a sisterhood that feels okay not to agree with my decisions but will stand by me all the same.
I wanna have a sisterhood that understands loyalty, that when I introduce my fellow sisters, my business ideas and spouse to I’m scare of being saboteur.
I wanna have a sisterhood that will not reveled in gossip and take joy in people’s pain neither tap-danced on their misery.
I wanna have a sisterhood that will treat not just me but other people with respect and dignity regardless of their status in society.
I wanna have a sisterhood that will neither walk down nor talk down on me because their success has arrived and mine hasn’t.
I wanna have a sisterhood that will look me in the face and tell me what I need to hear not what I want to hear.
It doesn’t matter if we don’t meet or talk everyday but when we do, minds are inspired, bigger dreams are dreamt and souls are charged to do bigger things.
Until then, I will wait for the right ones to come along but while I wait I will try to BE what I want to see in other sisters.
Because I know when women support each other, incredible things happen and behind every successful woman is a tribe of other successful women who have her back.
